The Royal National Academy of Pharmacy (RANF) and the José Casares Gil Foundation, from friends of the Ranf, celebrated the round table "The contribution of health fungi", thus endorsing the academic character of mycotherapy and demonstrating the scientific interest of the advances achieved in this area by Hifas da Terra.
The act, which took place at the headquarters of the Madrid Academy on Thursday, December 14, had the interventions of Dr. Mª Asunción Peiré García, a medical, lawyer and pediatric pharmacologist at the Catalan Institute of Health; of Professor and Doctor Pere Gascón, Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of Barcelona, director of the Laboratory of Molecular & Translational Oncology-Cellex and member of the Academy of Medicine of Catalonia and Dr. Iván Simón Gómez, Doctor of Pharmacy and Commercial Director of Micasalud in Hifas da Terra.
In addition to the speakers, in this session focused on the uses of fungi in the field of health, the president of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy and the Institute of Spain, Mariano Esteban Rodríguez, and the secretary of the organization, Bartolomé Ribas Ozonas intervened.
Dr. Mª Asunción Peiré inaugurated the session in the RANF with a presentation entitled "Pharmacological aspects of medicinal fungi".
Dr. Pere Gascón intervened in the round table of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy explaining the important role of mythotherapy in oncology as an adjunct and safe treatment scientifically endorsed.
Dr. Iván Simón Gómez closed the academic session with an exhibition in which he explained the procedure of excellence to extraction of medicinal fungi in Hifas da Terra.
